Bridge High School Program, 9th – 12th Grade
Hours: Shifts are Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. with at least one 2-hour shift required per week
KYCC’s Bridge volunteer program, located at our Wilton site, aims to close the gaps in academic, social, and emotional growth in our elementary and middle school students by recruiting, training, and placing high school volunteers who will work directly with our students in our elementary and middle school programs.
We will provide volunteers with regular training and workshops that will prepare and strengthen their skills as tutors and mentors to “bridge the gap” between adult instructors and K-8th grade youth. The experiences our volunteers will acquire through Bridge will also enable and empower them to develop their leadership and life skills by pushing them to look beyond their own needs.
