Kids Town is a full-day, year-round preschool in Koreatown, Los Angeles.
KIDS TOWN
The Only Triple Language Immersion Preschool in Los Angeles
Kids Town Preschool provides affordable and quality early childhood education in English, Korean, and Spanish. We are a full-day, year-round preschool for children between 2.5 to 5 years of age.
We organize our classrooms into mixed-age groups. This allows children to learn at their own pace as opposed to same-grade classrooms where children are often expected to have similar abilities as their peers.
We provide multilingual and cultural support. All of our teachers are bilingual in Spanish or Korean and we value respect for all cultures.
We implement open classrooms. Children are allowed to move around in flexible spaces to make learning more fun and creative. They learn to become more independent in preparation for kindergarten.
We boast a 8:1 student-to-teacher ratio, which allows more individualized attention to each of our students.
You get access to KYCC’s free services and resources as a Kids Town parent. Services include summer camps, utility bill assistance, free tax preparation, and so much more.

We serve children ages 2 through 5 years old. TK children are welcomed.

What is the teacher-student ratio?
All classrooms have a qualified early childhood educator leading the class and two experienced assistant teachers. Classrooms may also have student teachers from cooperating colleges from time to time.
-

We provide nutritionally balanced meals daily. Children receive breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. Breakfast and lunch meals include a milk, grain, meat/meat alternative and fruit/vegetable. Afternoon snacks include 2 of these 4 components.
-
Are there any enrichment activities offered?
We provide music classes on Mondays and gardening once a month on Friday.
-
What if my child has allergies?
It is our goal to keep each child with a food allergy safe and to honor identified food restrictions to the best of our ability. In order to best meet the children’s special dietary needs, parents will be asked during enrollment to provide written documentation with specific guidelines for addressing each special type of dietary need and food allergy.
-
How do you communicate with parents?
We use a text message application, phone calls and emails.
-
Does my child have to be potty trained to attend?
Children typically go through potty training between 18 months and 3 years old. At Kids Town children do not have to be potty trained before entering the program, we understand every child is different and some may need additional time.
-
Is there a transition period?
Yes, during the transition period children will meet their new teachers and classmates, and are gradually familiarized with school and classroom routines. One parent is expected to be available during this time. The length of time it takes before your child attends a full schedule will depend on the age and the individual child.
-
When is nap time?
Naptime is from 12:30-2:30pm. Classroom lights are off and soft/classical music plays in the background. All children rest on cots. Crib sheets and blankets are sent home weekly to be laundered and brought back. Children who do not nap learn to remain quiet and respect others who are napping.
-
Is there space in the program to enroll my child?
Enrollment is on-going and a child may enter at any time during the year.
