Donate

We are on a mission to help low-income, multiethnic, and recently immigrated families and individuals in Koreatown realize their full social and economic potential.

Your donation, small or big, will allow KYCC to provide vital services to our community as we fulfill our mission and grow our impact over time.

Koreatown Youth and Community Center (KYCC) is a 501(c)(3) charity. Your gift is tax-deductible as allowed by U.S. law.

If you have any questions about giving, please read our FAQ section, submit an inquiry through our Contact Us form, or email us at giving@kyccla.org.

  • Make in-kind donations

KYCC accepts donations of new and lightly used items that benefit our families. Non-monetary contributions including material goods and services play a vital role in enhancing our programming and enabling us to provide better support to our clients and community. Please fill out the In-Kind Donation form and someone from our team will be in touch about whether we can accept your donation at this time.

  • Volunteer with a group

We offer opportunities for groups to host and participate in unpaid or paid, public or private volunteer events, such as tree planting, community beautification, and food drives. These events are a great way for groups to bond, work as a team, and improve morale, all the while making a visible impact on our community in just a few hours. We work with you to customize an event around your needs and schedule. Previously, we’ve worked with companies like Alo Yoga and Bank of America and groups like the Cal State LA basketball team! If you’re interested, please read about how group volunteering works and fill out an interest form. If you have further questions, please fill out our Contact Us form or email us at volunteer@kyccla.org.

  • Workplace giving

Did you know that 65% of Fortune 500 companies offer matching gift programs? Other workplaces will donate to the nonprofit where you volunteer. If you’re unsure of your company’s policies, please contact your manager or human resources manager.

DONATIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
  • Are my donations tax deductible?

The simple answer is yes—in most cases. Our team will prepare tax deductible donation letters for any donor who logs a donation and provides an email address. If you donate anonymously, we will not be able to provide you with a tax receipt. Please consult with your tax advisor to determine whether your donation is tax-deductible in whole or in part. Nothing in this communication is intended to constitute legal or tax advice.

  • I lost or didn’t receive a tax-deductible donation letter, how can I request one?

No problem! Just email giving@kyccla.org with the full name of the donor and rough date of the donation and we’ll send you a copy.
