On April 17, KYCC hosted its 18th Annual FORE Children and Families Golf Classic at Strawberry Farms Golf Club in Irvine, CA. 

Every year since 2008, KYCC’s Golf Classic creates a day of friendly competition and celebration. All players competed in 36 teams of four in a fun, exciting, 18-hole golf tournament that took place throughout the day. Upon their arrival at Strawberry Farms, players were greeted by KYCC staff and given goodie bags filled with gifts from Lotte, Medisorb, HJ Glove, Park & Velayos, and more.

This year also commemorates the 50th anniversary of KYCC, as we celebrate a milestone and reflect on the impact of our programs for children and families throughout Los Angeles since 1975. From affordable housing and mental health services to financial literacy and environmental initiatives, KYCC is a trusted pillar of support for our community and remains steadfast in our commitment to adapting and addressing the evolving needs of our most vulnerable residents.

“KYCC’s Golf Classic brings our amazing new and returning sponsors together for a day of golf and celebration.  However, this event is more than just a golf tournament—it’s a way to support the children and families who rely on our programs,” says Johng Ho Song, KYCC Executive Director.  “This year, we rely more than ever on individual and private donations to compensate for government funding cuts. Before teeing off, players also had the opportunity to eat delicious boxed lunches from WaBa Grill and purchase raffle tickets for many exciting prizes.

After an afternoon of golf, staff and tournament guests returned to Strawberry Farms’ Big Red Barn for a delicious dinner, tournament prizes, raffle and auction.
