Resources for the Unhoused 

Are you or someone you know is unhoused and seeking assistance, the following resources are available: 

  • For individuals facing eviction or seeking emergency housing resources, call 1-800-339-6993 or 211.
  • For graffiti removal, bulky items, illegal dumping, and encampments, call (213) 473-3231 or 311.
  • For mental health emergencies, call 1-800-854-7771.
  • For the National Domestic Violence hotline, call 1-800-799-7233 or text “Begin” to 88788.
  • Request help from a Homeless Outreach Worker through the Los Angeles Homeless Outreach Portal at www.tinyurl.com/LAHOP 

Homeless Access Centers – Coordinated Entry System (CES) for unhoused individuals and families

Homeless Access Centers are call-in or drop-in locations where persons experiencing homelessness can gain initial access to or continue contact with housing and supportive services.

Access Centers can provide referrals to:

  • Interim Housing programs for persons experiencing unsheltered homelessness;
  • Emergency services (domestic violence, emergency physical/mental healthcare) and other supportive services (mental health, workforce development, etc.); and
  • Basic services such as food provision, storage, and hygiene services.

    • For restraining orders, divorce and custody, call (800) 433-6251, Monday through Friday (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.). Leave a message and an advocate will reply promptly.
  • Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law
    • If you think you need a restraining order the same day, you should call the police 911 and say you are in danger and need an Emergency Restraining Order (EPO) or go the Los Angeles County Superior Court website and or call the Court at (213) 830-0845 during weekdays. For all other domestic violence questions and problems, call them at (213) 388-7515 and leave a safe number for them to call you back. You can say it is about domestic violence. If you receive CalWORKs you share that, as well.
  • Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice
